The plot.
Romeo + Juliet is a story about the two families Montague and Capulet. They were great enemies.
The romantic Romeo is a montague. One day he crashes one of the Capulets parties. There he sees Juliet, and it's love at first sight. He drags Juliet into a elivator, and kisses her and tells her how lovely she is. Juliet falls head over heels for Romeo. Later in the eavning Rome finds out that Juliet is a Capulet. He's in love with the enemy! But nothing can stop Romeo and Juliets forbidden love. They meet in secret, and they get married.

Just some few hours after their wedding Romeo kills Tybalt, Juliet’s cousin, because he has killed one of Romeos best friends earlier the same day. Romeo has to leave the country and his lovely Juliet.



And now it gets complicated. Juliet’s happines is blown away by her father. Her father wants her to marry a man named Paris, and after a while she has to agree.

In despair Juliet seeks the preast who married her and Romeo, and he gives her a potion that makes her go into a deep sleep for 24 hours. Juliet writes a letter to Romoe to tell him she's not dead, and she drinks the potion.



Romeo never read the letter, and goes totally crazy when he gets the message about Juliets death. He goes bakc to Verona, and finds the church Juliet is in. He Cries alot, and then he kills himself by drinking a poison he got from a man. Juliet wakes up, and finds her love dead by her side. In despair she kills herself.

Main characters.
Romeo - A romantic, hopeless in love with Juliet. He would rather die than live a life without love.

Juliet - A naive, little girl who didn't belive in love and marriage befor she met Romeo.

Tybalt - The bad guy. Juliet's Cousin. Voilent and agressive.

Capulet - Juliet's father. He truly loves his daughter, though he is not well acquainted with Juliet’s thoughts or feelings, and wants her to marry Paris.

Lady Capulet - Juliet's mother. She is eager to see her daugther marry Paris.

Montague - Romeo's father. Concerned about Romeo's melancholy.

Lady Montague - Romeo's mother. Dies of grief after Romeos is exiled out of Verona.

Paris - Montague and Lady Montague wants him to marry Juliet.


I liked Romeo the best. He was so full of feelings and life. If he loved somebody, he really showed it. I can't explain why, but I just loved everything about him.

I didn't like Tybalt. He was to voilent and agressiv. When it was a problem, he just pulled out his "sword".

My opinion.
I think the movie was very good. I liked that the time was set to today, and that it wasn't a boring movie about the old times. It was modern and cool. One thing I didn't like about the movie, was the way they talked. It sounded like they talked in poems. It was a little hard to figur out what they were talking about at some times.

I think this movie was made to entertain and educate. It's a entertaining movie about the two families and the forbidden love, but at the same time you learn about one of Shakespears great masterpieces.

I would recommend this movie to youts and adults. You can't be too young when you see this movie, because off all the voilence and shooting. And it's hard to follow the movie sometimes, because of the way they talked. But it's a great story, and fits for people who likes romantic film, where people do anything fore love.

On a scale from 1-6, I would give this movie a strong 4.
